A used car warranty is a written guarantee covering a list of mechanical, electrical and electronic parts against sudden failure. It’s designed to pay for some or all of the costs involved with repairing or replacing those parts within a certain time frame.

What Our Extended Warranty Covers:

With WSG, your vehicle is covered for a huge range of parts and the labour times involved to repair or replace them. The Platinum and Gold packages both cover around 6,000 mechanical, electrical and electronic components, including many that other warranty companies normally exclude. 

The Silver package covers a range of listed items and is designed with the older or higher mileage vehicle in mind. Explore the different plan types below to find out more:

Silver Package

Duration: 12/24/36 months

Coverage: Essential mechanical and electrical components

Eligibility: For vehicles of any age or mileage

Component Coverage: Selected components are covered against mechanical breakdown or electrical/electronic failure

Gold Package

Duration: 12/24/36 months

Coverage: Comprehensive protection for all major vehicle systems

Eligibility: For vehicles up to 11 years old and 105,000 miles

Component Coverage: Includes the majority of mechanical, electrical and electronic components across all major vehicle systems

Platinum Package

Duration: 12/24/36 months

Coverage: The most comprehensive cover for ultimate peace of mind

Eligibility: For vehicles up to 8 years old or 80,000 miles

Wear and Tear: Included on all covered parts until your vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. At this point, the wear and tear element ceases, but all other coverage remains the same

Exceptional Coverage: As one of the UK's best warranties, the Platinum package includes approximately 6,000 parts - so comprehensive it's impossible to list them all! Almost all of your vehicle's parts are covered against mechanical breakdown, electrical/electronic failure or wear and tear

What’s NOT Covered:

While our warranties provide extensive protection, naturally, there are some parts and faults that we just can’t cover, such as bodywork, trim, general maintenance and service items. 

The Platinum and Gold packages are so advanced that it’s almost impossible to list every covered item, therefore, you’ll only find the exclusions. Anything not listed under exclusions is covered. The Silver package only lists the covered items, so anything not specifically shown is excluded.

How to Purchase an Extended Warranty

As an approved Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) dealership, we can offer these premium warranty products exclusively to our customers who have purchased a used car from us. Our team will guide you through the Silver, Gold, and Platinum options to find the right coverage for your needs and budget.

In most cases, you can:

• Upgrade to a higher level of coverage around the start date
• Extend your warranty period around the start date
• Renew your warranty as it approaches its expiry date

How to Make a Claim

If your car is under our 3-month warranty period, then you can make a claim directly to BAA Automotive Alliance by calling 0333 133 0970. They will administer your claim on our behalf and guide you through the process.

If your car is under our extended warranty courtesy of Warranty Solutions Group, you can contact their claims team by calling 0800 060 8610.

Frequently Asked Questions About Warranty

Q: Can I purchase an extended warranty after buying the vehicle?  

A: We recommend selecting your warranty package at the time of vehicle purchase to ensure continuous coverage from day one. This allows us to provide you with the most comprehensive protection and best possible terms.

Q: Are there any age or mileage restrictions for warranty coverage?  

A: No, there aren’t any age or mileage restrictions on our warranty policies. The only change is the level of coverage.

Q: What happens if my car exceeds the age and mileage parameters?

A: The age and mileage parameters of the extended used car warranties only apply to the vehicle at the warranty start date.  If you exceed these age or mileage parameters during your warranty term, don’t worry – your cover simply continues for the remainder.

The exception is if you have a Platinum package warranty, which includes wear & tear cover until your vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. After this, the wear & tear element ceases, but the rest of your cover remains the same.

Q: What if I sell my vehicle during the warranty period?  

A: Our warranties are transferable to the new owner, which can enhance your vehicle's resale value.

Q: How many claims can I make?

A: You can make unlimited claims during your warranty period, with each claim covered up to the maximum claim limit specified in your chosen policy. All claims include the cost of parts, labour and VAT.

Q: Do I need to use one of your garages?

A: In most cases, you’ll be able to choose whether you use an approved Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) car repairer network or your own garage. We work directly with hundreds of garages across the UK, which also means that we settle claims with them directly.

If you use your own garage, please bear in mind that there is a set labour rate, so any excess labour charges over and above this will be your responsibility. The garage may also want you to settle the bill first, in which case you’ll be reimbursed once the repair invoice has been received, alongside any documents requested.

Depending on the nature of the claim, your vehicle may need to be seen by a specialist. We also work directly with a number of repairers that specialise in systems such as turbos, gearboxes, engines, drive lines, ECUs and power steering. Contact us to find out more.
