How to Make a Claim
- The claim process is straightforward and handled directly by WSG:

- Your vehicle will be booked into a garage for inspection/diagnosis
- The repairer must contact WSG before starting any repairs
- Once authorised, repairs can begin immediately
- WSG pays the repairer or reimburses costs as agreed
- Repairs must be authorised before work begins — otherwise, the claim cannot be paid.Â

Q: Can I purchase an extended warranty after buying the vehicle? Â
A: We recommend selecting your warranty package at the time of vehicle purchase to ensure continuous coverage from day one. This allows us to provide you with the most comprehensive protection and best possible terms.
Q: Are there any age or mileage restrictions for warranty coverage? Â
A: No, there aren’t any age or mileage restrictions on our warranty policies. The only change is the level of coverage.
Q: What happens if my car exceeds the age and mileage parameters?
A: The age and mileage parameters of the extended used car warranties only apply to the vehicle at the warranty start date. If you exceed these age or mileage parameters during your warranty term, don’t worry – your cover simply continues for the remainder.
The exception is if you have a Platinum package warranty, which includes wear & tear cover until your vehicle reaches 100,000 miles. After this, the wear & tear element ceases, but the rest of your cover remains the same.
Q: What if I sell my vehicle during the warranty period? Â
A: Our warranties are transferable to the new owner, which can enhance your vehicle's resale value.
Q: How many claims can I make?
A: You can make unlimited claims during your warranty period, with each claim covered up to the maximum claim limit specified in your chosen policy. All claims include the cost of parts, labour and VAT.
Q: Do I need to use one of your garages?
A: In most cases, you’ll be able to choose whether you use an approved Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) car repairer network or your own garage. We work directly with hundreds of garages across the UK, which also means that we settle claims with them directly.
If you use your own garage, please bear in mind that there is a set labour rate, so any excess labour charges over and above this will be your responsibility. The garage may also want you to settle the bill first, in which case you’ll be reimbursed once the repair invoice has been received, alongside any documents requested.
Depending on the nature of the claim, your vehicle may need to be seen by a specialist. We also work directly with a number of repairers that specialise in systems such as turbos, gearboxes, engines, drive lines, ECUs and power steering. Contact us to find out more.Â
